Larry Steinfeld

In 1938, Larry Steinfeld and his family escaped Nazi Germany and immigrated to the United States. They lived in New York City, where Larry attended college before serving as a German translator during the Korean War. Steinfeld moved to Houston in 1953. At the Houston Jewish Community Center he met his wife Ruth Krell, a fellow survivor from Germany. After retiring from his career as a car salesman, Larry worked as a substitute teacher and volunteered as a docent at Holocaust Museum Houston.
